ABOUT THE LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATION

The ProSource-Exclusive Lighting Technology Certification (LTC) is a multi-level training experience for management, sales teams, project managers, and technicians to rapidly advance in the emerging category of lighting fixtures and design.  The ProSource LTC is the only integrator-focused, blended-learning, live-showroom, fast-tracked certification you need to become lighting-fluent fast, build expertise, satisfy clients, and grow profits.

THE LEARNING CENTER

The keystone of the LTC is ProSource’s Lighting Technology and Learning Center in the Dallas World Trade Center. Purpose-built to host lighting training sessions, the Learning Center also serves as a laboratory and model showroom for ProSource members. The incredible immersive environment looks and feels like a luxury home and is packed with numerous technologies and techniques for learning. Behind the scenes access reveals multiple control paradigms and lighting wiring systems for hands-on learning. Quite simply, the brand-new Learning Center is set to catapult the industry forward, with ProSource members at the center.

LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION

Lighting fundamentals – retooled for the integrator professional – are encapsulated in eight online modules hosted through ProSource University. Topics include:

  • Light for Clients
  • Light for Integrators
  • Light and Health
  • Light Fixtures
  • Lighting Plans
  • Lighting Controls
  • The Lighting Industry
  • Purchasing and Stocking

Six additional manufacturer modules provide participants with personal introductions to the people and product and round out the Level 1 Certification.

LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATION

The second level of training takes place at the ProSource Lighting Technology and Learning Center in Dallas, Texas, over two days of live, hands-on classes. In addition to hands-on labs with cutting edge lighting fixtures, ProSource members attend sessions that include:

  • Design Lab: An immersive experience inside the lab to understand design strategies, light for health, fixture placement, zoning, optics and more all inside the incredible Learning Center.
  • Commissioning Lab: Hands-on installation, focus, aiming and more with real fixtures in real time taking place inside the Learning Center’s model home and in our installation lab with exposed stud walls, drywall and wiring.
  • Sales Lab: Live demonstration and role-playing are supported with sales scripts and prompts designed to advance integrators rapidly into lighting. Sales experts use the Learning Center’s beautiful design to demonstrate how showrooms can be used to transform conversations, sales and homes.
LIGHTING LAUNCHPAD

Lighting Launchpad is a training unlike any other in the industry. Led by Light Can Help You & ProSource member mentors, this three-day, in-person curriculum is a step-by-step lighting business accelerator.

  • Day 1 will focus on starting, marketing, & managing your lighting business. This day is best suited for business leaders and sales managers to attend.
  • Day 2 will focus on the sales process from start to finish - lead qualification, design, budgeting, & closing the deal. Vendor partners will collaborate, either in person or via video chat, to discuss their company's purchasing process. This day is best suited for business leaders and sales managers.
  • Day 3 will focus on the implementation of the lighting design into the final project, including sessions on construction basics, scene setting, aiming, and final deliverables. This day is best suited for business leaders and project managers.
