Dave Workman, CEO ProSource added, “This past year has been exciting seeing the merger of HES and PRO Group come together to create ProSource, and we anticipate building on the best year we have ever had with new services for members and enhanced programs, as well as developing the network within our dealers for best practice and idea sharing.” The Summit will kick off with keynotes speeches from high-level executives from ProSource manufacturer partners, including: Frank Sterns, VP Audio Video Specialty/Custom Integration at Sony Electronics; Jeremy Bukhardt CEO of Origin Acoustics; Jim Caudill, CEO of D&M Holdings; and other insightful guests.
Another highly rated ProSource Summit event is the annual “Town Hall” meeting, an open forum and idea exchange between manufacturers and members that this year will feature Martin Plaehn, CEO of Control4; Joe Lautner, Director of Business Development for Core Brands; and more.
Sheri Griffin, ProSource member and president of Home Theater Design Group, will moderate the ProSource Roundtable Discussions again this year. Last year, Griffin’s discussions were lively, upbeat, and an incredible opportunity for the ProSource member to catch up on best practices and discuss integrator-related issues facing the industry. Additional educational seminars will include such varied topics as: building RMR, motivating staff to excel, wireless control, HDMI’s Rev 2.0 4K deployment, Wi-Fi networks, client care programs, energy storage, and streaming entertainment. All these seminars are designed to present new and interesting content for the ProSource member that will prove invaluable for the member’s business and bottom line.
Through all these stimulating educational opportunities, ProSource members will get a peek into the future with business trends that will come down the pipeline in the next 12–24 months, plus the chance to reinforce and understand the inherent value, opportunities, and programs that are exclusive to the ProSource member to help streamline, boost profits, and plan for growth. New vendors and their programs will also be introduced at the show, including Origin Acoustics, Stewart Filmscreen, ihiji, D-Tools, One Firefly, Leon Speakers, Alarm.com, Cambridge Audio, SurgeX, Inada, BDI and others. All these vendors present opportunities for new business and making operations more efficient, while rounding out the ProSource line card to the most expansive in the industry.
Finally, this year, for the first time, BrandSource’s relatively new Young Professionals Group—which comprises BrandSource and ProSource thought-leaders and innovators under 40—will sponsor a 5K Run/Walk benefitting the Ronald McDonald House charity.
